Well, i think an Italian dish had to be added.

After all, I have been working with Italians for so long..

and them being another foodie.. had to make one..

 

Ofcourse, as usual.. i have my own additions in this one too..

but the taste is same..

Spagetti with red sauce.. lil mushroom and chicken liver.

So, finally an Indian dish.. my favourite and my own.

spicy, tasty .. full of colors and a lot of meat.

Wake up, its night already.
The cars have stopped honking,
the childhood night is back again.

A hint of red seems to be a good weather.
I see from my glass house.
Hoping for a cold cold night.

Kushari - Egyptian Dish

Kushari, a common dish in egypt. I have been told its one of the dishes very much liked by indians there. So, here it is.

Ingredients are very simple and eggs added as too much of vegetarian is just so not me.

But, for the vegetarian lovers, it is a very tasty one.

Here are all the things needed for this dish, its as simple as it looks.

Rice, lentils, macroni, and tomato sauce with garlic and chilli. For the final touch some fired onions.

Eggs/prawn/meat mince, etc if preferred.

 

 

Now three ways of putting it together and making it look just awesome.

Ofcourse just for fun.

Perspective

A sketch started because of the triangular shaped canvas. Just wanted to, had to make something.

So, basically its pen on canvas and a little paint.

Started off few weeks ago.. finally done.

Well, my second arabic dish.. falafel, but i guess I improvised way too much.

First attempt but not so great. Though taste isnt that bad.

So, here it is.. my weekend adventure. My first mediterranean dish - hummus.

It is a kind of a dip which I adore a lot. So, thought of making it at home.

Old passion, new trial

So, lately I have been thinking about my interests and career. Realized that I am blessed that my childhood hobby/passion is now my profession. I finally managed to do what I always wanted to.

But, from past 5 years I have had a new passion, cooking. I have already mentioned that in my previous post.. but the differnece now is.. I am seriously considering if I should try and work in the field. I surely donot have any professional experience, its just domestic, usual interest.
But, I wonder.. been into art and design since forever.. I can't even remember since when.
May be its time I want to try somethign else. But, then again.. making my hobby my profession. hmm.

So, anyway, I decided to make something different. Right now all I know about cooking involves indian and chinese cuisine. But, been here in middle east for 3 years, guess its definitely a good idea to try the arab cuisine.
So, this weekend I would start with the simple ones - hummus (my fav) and falafel.

Next post, I guess would be with the pictures.

Search

So, finally I thought of making a sketchbook for myself. Not that I didn't have any before. Many infact, mostly last pages of school notebooks. Random sketches here and there when I think. Should definitely see my office desk..hehe
Now thinking of making it a proper project for myself to put the lifelong habit of sketching into a book.
guess what, no ideas. So strange. Thought it would be the easiest thing to do. Guess when you plan it, it just doesn come to me naturally then.

Minimal

Recently impressed by Minimalism.. To think of , it was there for quiet some time. Minimalist art and design, architecture, interior . Over all as a concept and outlook.
To look at seems simple, eradicating all the unnecessary elements, and forming something absolutely pure and essential. Isn't the concept over all makes sense. Absolutely, the truth and nothing else. More than anything.
I was going through the movie and books poster recently.. its outstanding how few few lines and shapes one can capture the essence of the movie or the book. Its like a riddle.

thats why I say.. sometimes no options is so much better.
Too many of them.. confuses you.. makes u think of more options
than what already is there.. errr
with exposure and advance life.. life will obviously be complicated.
it is impossible to dream of a simple one.. in this lifestyle and century.
even if u choose to lead the simple one..
but u still sometimes think about what you are missing.
ignorance is bliss. that is so true.

isn't it just frustrating.. that you think of something
and then google it.. and u see many of them like you
already thought of it..

ah! just going through my usual mood swings..
it helps :D to keep it rolling..
better than relaxing and settlign down..completely satisfied with what you have.

There is this restless feeling I have been having for some time.. Don't know this feeling that this year is going to be different. My 2 years plan is over.. but you know.. when anything i plan really happens.

But, there have been ups and downs.. changes.. new arrivals.. old deleted things.

Just a feeling that 2012 is going to take a turn. Hope so. And hope some good turn.. 

If the so -called intuition works.. hoping for some unexpected life changing step.. atleast the first step..to begin with.

Ommmm...yoga.. to begin with.. :D :p

yup started.. yoga.. feeling fresh inside out definitely opens a lot of ways to do some changes in life and career.. and come up with new ideas.
